KMW, WFEL and RENK announce a contract to collectively produce gearboxes and management models for the UK Boxer MIV programme.
KMW and WFEL have awarded a gearbox subcontract for the UK Boxer Mechanised Infantry Automobile (MIV) programme.
Horstman UK, a subsidiary of RENK, will provide greater than 250 angular gearboxes and management models in a £12 million ($16.68 million) contract.
RENK has produced all of the angle drive gearboxes for the Boxer automobiles so far. Horstman will produce the gearbox merchandise earlier than they’re equipped to WFEL’s new Boxer manufacturing facility in Stockport.
Horstman produces armoured automobile suspension techniques and gearboxes for fundamental battle tank turrets, tactical 4x4s and fight engineering automobiles. The corporate beforehand equipped suspension techniques for German Puma IFVs.
