A non-injury crash on the Skagit River bridge Wednesday, Dec. 9, has closed all lanes Interstate 5 in each instructions whereas inspectors assess if there was any injury to the bridge.

A semi truck headed southbound on the freeway hit the barrier and broke its entrance axle, in response to a tweet by Washington State Trooper Heather Axtman made at 4:47 a.m. Wednesday. No different automobiles had been concerned within the crash, Axtman reported.

“The roadway is absolutely blocked,” Axtman tweeted. “Unknown ETA for reopening. Please keep away from the realm. The detour shall be at George Hopper Rd.”

A tweet from the Washington State Department stated that north and southbound site visitors was closed between East Faculty Method (milepost 227) and George Hopper Street (milepost 229).
